The Fountain of Youth

We are all familiar with the tales of the fountain of youth (also known as the fountain of life): a mystical and never-ending spring of water that gives eternal youth, beauty, health and wisdom.  But how may of you know that the fountain of youth is real?

As we have all been reading Proverbs, we are all familiar with Proverbs 9:10:
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." 

I have read this and heard this many times, as I am sure have you.  What caught my eye this time was Proverbs 14:27:
"The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death."

The fear of the Lord IS the fountain of life, but it is so much more than a mystical water-fountain that takes away wrinkles.  If one continues reading, one will see what exactly the benefits are in the fear of the Lord, wisdom and understanding:
       Proverbs 10:17    
       Proverbs 16:6-7
       Proverbs 12:28
       Proverbs 13: 13-14
       Proverbs 14:26

There are many many more.  In short, divine providence for every arena of life is available through the fear of the Lord.  The conclusion when all has been heard is truly to "fear God and keep His commandments."
